Nigerian Association of Shotokan Karate is a member of Karate Federation of Nigeria(KFN). We have over the years strived for excellence in Karate training and practice in Nigeria.
Blessed with senior members who possess a rare combination of intellectual and technical abilities, NASK is poised to take into the next decade a new, reformed and more formidable Karate apparatus which will be vindicated by the quality of athletes and their international achievements.
From its early days as SKINF, NASK has dominated the Nigerian karate scene and has assumed an accepted though unspoken leadership position in Nigerian Karate.
With registered membership of 650 Karateka the associations clubs can be found in most Nigerian Universities and in different cities in Nigeria. Presently only NASK issues its registered members Karate Budo passports which give each member a sense of identity and uniqueness.
NASK currently runs the highest number of children and adult events in Nigeria. The association‘s Children’s Kata championship which usually runs twice a year at the American International School Lagos, has become a regular expectation of every Karate Child.
NASK is also blessed with a high percentage of its senior instructors being qualified professionals in other areas of human endeavour and therefore bring their collective wealth of knowledge and diverse experiences to bear on its administration.
NASK is recorded to be the only association to date to have successfully brought in five Karate masters of international acclaim to run different training courses in Nigeria
