PROVIDING CALIBER ATHLETES AND INSTRUCTORS TO CONQUER THE INTERNATIONAL KARATE SCENE
Nigerian Association of Shotokan Karate is a member of Karate federation of Nigeria(KFN).The KFN was formally inaugurated in 1992, and is directly responsible to the federal government of Nigeria (through the sports ministry) for the development of karate in Nigeria. The Nigerian Association of Shotokan Karate (NASK) has over the years strived for excellence in Karate training and practice in Nigeria. The association was indirectly responsible (through the hosting of Sensei Kanazawa in 1984) for the accelerated growth and recognition of Karate in Nigeria and remains committed to ensuring the achievement of greater milestones in its development.
Blessed with senior members who possess a rare combination of intellectual and technical abilities, NASK is poised to take into the next decade a new, reformed and more formidable Karate apparatus which will be vindicated by the quality of athletes and their international achievements. To accomplish this, a host of present and future plans have been earmarked for both local and international exposure of its members while the need to sustain links with the International Karate community remains a key objective.
